As an artist, I consider it one of the greatest challenges an artist will encounter is finding his own style. That's why when I see artists who have already found their own and excel at it I am highly amazed. Specially when i like their style.

I just love the quirky style he/she has, the way he/she distorts the anatomy and the way they are colored. And it helps that the girls seem quite fashionable.

I found him/her (I tried hard to find out his/her real name or even his/her gender but I failed) through a friend's tweet which led me here and then I found his/her blog through that. Please do check them out.

disappointed but still excited

Paradise Kiss live action movie is set to come out in Japan on June 4. This anime is very close to my heart since it is about fashion. Plus I became one of the finalists of the Animax fashion design contest (2006, the very first one) with ParaKiss as it's inspiration for the contestants. :D So you can imagine my face light up with glee as soon as I found out (which was last night /bad anime fan) that a live action movie will be released. But then I saw the trailer... hmmm...

I'm sorry I don't want to be mean to the actor who played him but c'mon! George is hot. This guy is not. He's cute but... no. And omg their bed scenes will be awkward at best.

Anyway, I will still wait for the day that download links or even youtube links are available for this movie. :P

The fashion world may be too fast for me. I'm not even done sifting through the spring/summer 2011 collection and here come the autumn/winter 2011-12 collections! Seriously. Why so fast?

Project Runway best finale collection EVER

I am such a Project Runway nerd. I love that show. Though sometimes I really hate it for the (as TLo puts it) "cracktastic" judging. They mostly got it right on the first season though. Except for booting out Nora. And letting Wendy stay. But yeah mostly right specially when Jay won.

Now why am I talking about Project Runway season 1 when it was season 8 that had already finished airing? Because ladies and gentlemen (?), this is still the best finale collection in all of Project Runway. And that includes all the versions in all other countries. Yes, I've seen them all (except the non-English ones, if there was any.) Told you I was a PR nerd.

Of course when I first saw season 1 I never fully appreciated his collection. It was only when I saw the pictures that I really saw what made him win. His colors, patterns and styling all comes together. Even now when I view his collection for the nth time, I am still amazed by his talent. Plus I also love his character and personal style. AND he also has some cool fabric designs. Which I will feature. Someday.

Did you know that he refused to take the PR cash prize of $100,000?

Most of my friends call me joa. OK maybe all of them call me joa...

I love fashion (if you haven't already figured that out.) I love any form of fashion. Street fashion, runway, avant garde, magazine photoshoots from all over the world, fashion illustration, dress up games, lolita fashion, pinup, vintage fashion, heck if you show me a fruit dressed up in nice clothes I'll probably spazz about it.

So you get the picture right? =)

I also like Korean and Japanese music. Also obsessed with Japanese and Korean magazine scans. So you'll see a lot of that here. I also love colors -lots of them!- and desserts! <3
